St. James Bazaar Haul!

Another haul post... These are the items I got over the weekend at the St. James Bazaar held in Ayala Alabang Village.

28 Neutral Palette (P750)

I got this at the Beauty Cosmetics stall for P750. Their palettes are actually cheaper than other brands. They also sell a wide variety of brushes. Anyway, I wanted to get this palette for a long time now and I am very happy I already did! I absolutely love the colors! Perfect for everyday makeup. :) The quality is nice, though some of the shadows are quite powdery.

Charm Luxe Flat Top Brush (P600)

I am very glad to own this baby! Really good quality. I actually want to get another one soon. :)

Beauty Cosmetics Stippling Brush (P300)

I bought this together with the 28 Neutral Palette. I was just intrigued with this because this brush is really cheap. Well, it didn't disappoint! Love this brush!

Nyx Round Lipstick in Tea Rose (P180)

I finally own Tea Rose! This baby is sold out during the Supersale Bazaar!

So those are the makeup items. I also bought a very cute black sling bag and a few shorts. I wanted to explore the whole place but the heat and crowd is unbearable! Oh well, there's still a whole lot of bazaars coming before Christmas, right? :) Till next time!

Supersale Bazaar Haul!

I expect the bazaar to be as big as the previous ones last year but nah, there's not much stalls... Anyway, I wanted to buy clothes but you know how it is in bazaars... It's so crowded and you can't really fit the clothes! Good thing there's AC so everything's okay. Here are the things I got:

Maybelline Fit Me Liquid Foundation and Pressed Powder

This is not locally available so I'm very happy I found this! This is my favorite combo as of the moment. :)

Revlon Colorstay Mineral Blush

Nyx Round Lipstick in Fig

Maybelline Eyestudio Trio in Neutral Liaisons

I love the colors of this trio but was quite disappointed when I found out that they were actually cream shadows... Still, beautiful combination of neutral colors.

I bought all of these in one store only... They sell makeup straight from the US that's why the products are 30-50% cheaper. I'll make a detailed review on the Fit Me liquid foundation since I really like it... So that's it for my mini haul! Till next time!

BAKING 2011

So after my long and picture-heavy post about my Culinary escapade, let me share with you guys my Baking experience. After graduating last October 2010, I decided to pursue a Baking course since it'll be a great advantage if I finished both courses. I enrolled May of this year with the same school (Global Culinary and Hospitality Academy) and finished 3 months later. I am very glad that I took up a Baking course because of the mouth-watering desserts I have learned. :) So without further ado, I present to you SOME of the desserts I have made. Lol!

Soft Rolls

Creme Brulee

Fruit Tart

Apple Pie

Chocolate Truffles

Cheddar Herb Scones and Banana Bread

Coffee Macarons

Mille Feuille

Tart Tatin

Blueberry Cheesecake

I am craving for all of these right now!!! I wish I could post everything I have baked but this post will be way too loooooong already!!! Haha! Anyway, thanks for reading! Makeup post next! :)

Culinary Days

As I said on my previous post, I finished Professional Culinary Arts at Global Culinary and Hospitality Academy. I never thought that I'd end up taking this course since I don't really cook. The desire towards food started when my mom was constantly watching Iron Chef America every weekend that I found myself getting hooked to the show too. I asked my parents if I could just take up Culinary Arts instead of finishing my course (I was in 2nd year college taking up BS-IHM that time). Luckily, my parents agreed and so I took up the course! :)

During my graduation last year.

Some of the dishes taught to us:

Chicken Blanquette

Pork Loin with Polenta and Sauce Chasseur

Fish and Chips with Tartar Sauce

Fillets of Sole and Spinach Mousse in White Wine Sauce

Chicken Supreme with Mashed Potato in Olive Oil and Balsamic Reduction

There's still more!!! Sadly, I don't have a picture of them anymore. :( Anyway, the whole course consists of 4 levels (1 month per each level). Upon finishing level 4, we had this 'culminating activity' called Restaurant Week that'll run for 3 days in which we will be the guest, server and cook. I tell you, when it was my team's turn as cooks, it's like Hell's Kitchen! Hahaha!

Appetizer: Fresh Caprese Skewers

Prosciutto Salad

Vongole Negra

Palette Cleanser: Watermelon Granita

Main Course: Chicken Roulade

Dessert: Tiramisu

Peace! Haha!

Whew! I really am nostalgic right now! T'was fun reminiscing and sharing these photos with you guys! Next post: Baking!? Yes? :)
